Shefali Juneja Lakhina

Shefali is the Working Group Lead and co-founder of Wonder Labs, a social enterprise working to co-develop social, ecological, and technological innovations with communities on the frontline of climate impacts. Since 2005, she has contributed to the development of disaster risk reduction policies, programs, and research across South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, South-East Europe, Australia, and the United States. Shefali earned her PhD in Human Geography from the University of Wollongong, Australia. Her research received a high commendation from the New South Wales (NSW) Office of Emergency Services for bringing attention to how people from diverse refugee and migrant backgrounds practice safety from natural hazards in the Illawarra region of NSW, Australia.
