Alan H. Kwok

Alan is the Director of Disaster Resilience for Northern California Grantmakers, an organization that brings together foundations, nonprofit organizations, government, and business to tackle social issues in Northern California, as well as leads Philanthropy California’s efforts to organize coordinated disaster response. Alan has years of experience with Bay Area disaster response and leadership that he uses to inform his work today, as well as various social and humanitarian sectors that include community health, youth and workforce development, and disaster management. Alan earned his PhD in Emergency Management at the Joint Centre for Disaster Research at Massey University in Wellington, New Zealand..
